DSFDF Study

When I saw the latest DSFDF challenge I was fascinated by the crush of taxis in the scene. Some day I'll have to go to New York City to see it for myself. I'll try this one again I think but with the buildings as well. I didn't want it to be too complicated first time around.

Should you ever get to visit NY you will see that you really got it, well done!

Thanks David and Dana - now that I've finished this one I think I should go back and put an umbrella over the pedestrian - no I should keep that thought for the next one!

You have a great sense of proportion for these cars -- I especially love the way you painted the two closest cab tail lights and bumpers, and the touches of green in the farther away cab and elsewhere. All very harmonious -- this is a very pleasant painting to stare at for a while, which I think says a lot! Great job, Barb!

This is so superbly moody and atmospheric and has a wonderful sense of mystery. Super!

love the way you cropped this. I was so overwhelmed by the buildings, I didn't even attempt it. Wonderful painting.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I guess my recent moodiness is coming through my paintings - must be the long winter.
