I'll figure out at some point how to do a realistic scene in a painterly way.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14956411167410513232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7749491022587141602.post-59107097456237379172009-11-01T12:53:36.377-08:002009-11-01T12:53:36.377-08:00Thanks Sheila - it was the dome car that motivated...Thanks Sheila - it was the dome car that motivated me to paint this. As a child I traveled from the west coast of Canada to the east and back again leaving me with a nostalgia for trains. I'm glad this is what caught your eye to start with!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14956411167410513232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7749491022587141602.post-74395675391193574972009-11-01T00:48:09.765-07:002009-11-01T00:48:09.765-07:00Lovely work! My eyes go right up to the chrome roof where the skylight is, sweep down the line of the train and then you have me swoop back up and around when I look and the lamps. I think its perfect that the figures are more suggestive to let the viewer know its a working station and not a museum with just enough detail but I like the way the focus is on the magnificent iron horse.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05599714103955686190noreply@blogger.com
